Change can sometimes be a difficult concept or task for someone to undertake. It can create fear in some, take us out of our comfort zones and create a potential vulnerability we wish not to face.
However, viewing change from a positive perspective we can move closer to what it is that we are trying to accomplish. That may be a goal or a dream. In either case it is something we envision.
A thought that instills confidence in my decisions for change;
Am I willing to deny myself ________ (goal/dream) because of inconveniences?
There may be obstacles presented that make whatever change is wanted difficult. This is part of the process of personal growth. Without embracing change it is difficult to grow and adapt to the person and life we envision. More wisdom is gained through each experience and the process seems to get easier with instinctive steps in each situation that we face. I am not advocating that change is easy. It usually requires much effort, but having the confidence that you can make the change promotes more focus to follow through.
How I plan to utilize change in my life:
- My habits- specifically time management and how efficiently I use my time
- My expectations- expecting more from myself and believing that I am capable of much more
- My zone of comfort- confronting fear of failure and hesitation to try things out of my comfort zone
- My reactions to situations- having a more effective daily attitude- cleansing all negativity, anger, guilt
- My gratitude- being thankful for what I have achieved and the many great things about my life
Change may take careful planning depending on the complexity of what you would like to change. Remembering WHY you are wanting to make the “change” is usually a very strong motivator in itself.
