The art of saying thank you is not merely gracious etiquette or perceived positive social manners. It is an essential mindset task that we must be conscious of everyday. This mindset is gratitude.
Living with gratitude changes your outlook on life.
When we live with gratitude it is similar to saying thank you for every opportunity, every interaction and each moment we are given to make our lives special.
It is important to express gratitude to others but it is also an essential life operating principle for happiness and success.
As I reflect on my past life experiences and moments, I have noticed that my deficiency in “being thankful” for each moment, interaction and opportunity has allowed me to take things for granted.
The disregard I had for being thankful bypassed many key ingredients needed in order to build a foundation towards happiness.
- I did not celebrate accomplishments as much as I should have
- my vision of momentum was blurred, denying myself clarity
- “living in the moment” was becoming unachievable
- I lost perspective of things that were very important
It has become clear with each growing year in my life, without gratitude there can be no happiness. They are synonymous.
When we hear someone say, “you should be grateful for what you have.” It is a correct statement, but does not truly embrace the true meaning of living with gratitude. It is the many things that help us live each day, enjoy each day and help us grow personally or professionally each day.
Live With Gratitude, Watch Your Life Change
The life changing benefits of being thankful everyday lead to many contributing factors not only important to achieve happiness but personal growth as a person.
- greater positivity in your life
- creates greater focus, allowing you to see WHAT IS really important
- be more aware of the momentum process which leads to clarity
- a deeper acceptance of your life, what you have, what you have achieved and each moment you are alive
- transforms a negative situation or experience into a positive outlook
I am striving to live with gratitude each moment in my life. To be thankful when I wake and thankful before I sleep.
There is ALWAYS something to be thankful for.
When we continually are aware and give thanks for the many great things we are blessed with in our lives, we can continue to receive and enjoy the happiness we create.
If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get. – Frank A. Clark
Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.
